Trees

When I first arrived in Western Australia in December 2010, I was amazed at the variety of native gumtrees that I saw.  Close by to where we lived in Perth, there were preserved wetlands, with gnarly, twisty eucalyptus trees that captured my imagination.  From my frequent bicycle trips to these wetlands, I took many photos and created fantastical images that became my first iPhoneography Series, "Dalienutopia", a celebration of Australia's wild and weird wetlands.  "Dalienutopia" became my first Blurb book in 2011.

Since then, whenever I come across solitary trees with bare branches reaching towards the sky, or strangely beautiful trees such as the Boab, or rows of stately gumtrees lining a driveway, I will try to capture their essence with my photography.

Here are some of my favourite images of Trees, Plants and other Fauna.  All captured and processed using either my iPhone 4 or Samsung Galaxy S3.
